Bamber Bridge cruised to their biggest home win of the season in the UniBond First Division North – but manager Tony Greenwood is still on the look-out for more firepower.
Fast-improving Brig made short work of overpowering struggling Harrogate, racing into an unassailable 3-0 lead inside 31 minutes, thanks to goals from Steve Aspinall, Phil Eastwood and Phil Denney.
Substitute Jerome Watt then came off the bench to add a fourth from the penalty spot, as Brigg threatened to run riot during the closing stages.
But, while Greenwood was clearly delighted with the standard of this performance, he plans to step up his search for a new striker.
He said: "I know we've been digging out 1-0 wins but we've been threatening to turn someone over for a while.
"We completely dominated the game from start to finish and could have won by more in the end."
Brig set the tone for the afternoon when they opened the scoring in the 13th minute, Aspinall's cleverly-flighted free kick evading everyone before nestling in the far corner.
Denney then missed a golden chance to make it 2-0 when he headed tamely at visiting keeper James Mann from point-blank range.
However, Brig did grab a second in the 26th minute when Mann brought down Ashley Dunn in the area, and Eastwood made no mistake from the resulting spot-kick.
By now, Brig were flying and Denney effectively killed the game off as a contest in the 31st minute, volleying a third past Mann from 12 yards out.
The second half became a procession for Greenwood's men and they should have had more to show for their endeavours than a 78th minute penalty from the lively Watt.
Nevertheless, it was another accomplished performance from Brig, who are within striking distance of the play-off spots.
