Bamber Bridge Football Club is looking to recruit a new Bar Operations Manager due to pending retirement.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the commercial success of the club and must be able to constantly adapt accordingly to ensure that the Bar is profitable, pleasant and safe.
As the licensee you will be legally responsible for our venue. With duties ranging from front-of-house work to staff recruitment, marketing, accounting and stock control, the role requires strong management, commercial and practical skills.
Other duties include:
- Ensuring that the pub adheres to various legal frameworks
- Taking responsibility for club safety and security
- Maintaining health and safety standards (in the club, kitchen and other areas) at all times
- Recruiting, training and managing staff
- Improving the customer experience through innovative ideas
- Liaising with customers (including serving food and drink)
- Monitoring profitability and performance to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded
- Ensuring that high standards of customer service are maintained
- Organising and advertising events
- Undertaking regular stock checks and placing orders with suppliers
- Re-stocking the venue
- Leading meetings to update and motivate staff
- Collecting customer feedback and acting on it to improve the overall running of the venue
- Interacting with a wide variety of people, including customers, bar staff, members of the local community and the police
